Viktor Schauberger saw water not just as an inanimate organism, but as a living organism, with its own natural laws and commanding the respect of humankind.

"A natural River is a meandering river, as it flows it develops secondary currents at its bends. ”

"It is nature which can and must be our teacher. We must try to understand how Mother Nature transforms water into the life blood of the planet and mkes it available to us, pure and life giving."

Schauberger felt that water went through a series of stages, a natural maturation that made it living and life giving. In the absence of this maturation process, neither did it have the same mineral and chemical content, nor did it have the biological life giving capacities. He felt we should observe and study water's "biological quality" and make sure it went through it natural maturation cycle so that it could restore its vitality (its energy, mineral, and carbon dioxide content).
